Like nearly everything I draw, this is a character from an RPG. This here is Amie Bierdman, Harris's character
from Rick's 'Vampire:The Masquerade' campaign. She follows the Path of Lilith, which teaches the wisdom gained through suffering.
Lilith herself, perhaps the first vampire, wandered the sun-wracked desert for perhaps a century, surviving without blood
in the destructive sun. In Lilith's footsteps, Amie seeks enlightenment through pain.
In this image, Amie is greeting
the sun without coverings, allowing her vampiric body to be eaten away until she can no longer bear it. With each trial such
as this, she believes herself to be closer to enlightenment.
Update! The photo of the sunrise wasn't mine, so I'm trying to find or draw a background I can use. In the
meantime, here's an updated version of Amie. I especially love the bloody knife and the 3Dness of the hair.
